Our vision is to see a movement of God where people are being transformed by the extravagant love of Jesus, living in community, serving together, and sharing the good news of Jesus across the street and around the world.
Every church family is different – we might be described as down-to-earth, caring, friendly, and generous. Our hearts are being transformed by God’s Spirit, as we experience the extravagant love of Jesus and share that same love with our family, friends, and community. With God’s help we can make a big difference in our world!
We welcome you to visit us – we hope this is a place where you encounter God and find a community that will encourage your spiritual growth. There is room in this church family for you!
There is one living and true God who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a blameless life, suffered, was crucified, and buried. He rose victorious from the dead and lives forever. He is at the right hand of God, interceding for his church, and will return in glory to judge the living and the dead.
Through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, we are reconciled to God and have the assurance of eternal life.
The Holy Spirit is given to believers as a deposit guaranteeing eternal life. His indwelling empowers believers and transforms them to be like Jesus.
The Bible is the inspired, infallible word of God. It reveals who God is, His heart of love and His plans for the world He created.
Pastor Theo Myer
Theo found his faith through a path that included skepticism and extensive training in logic. (He has a master’s degree in mathematics from UCSC.) With a master's in divinity from Western Seminary, he has a background in both pastoral ministry and teaching. He is passionate about helping others discover the love and power of God by interacting with the Bible and connecting with each other. He enjoys the Dallas Cowboys and the Warriors, reading, backpacking, teaching, and brownie sundaes. He and his wife, Gayleen, have been married for over 30 years, and they are still best friends! They have two young adult children, Jordan and Sierra.
Pastor Gayleen Myer
Gayleen’s primary mission is to help build community among those in our church family, and to help CCC reach out in love to the community around us. When she’s not volunteering at CCC, Pastor Gayleen likes to spend quiet time alone with God outdoors, deepen friendships, enjoy her family, and squeeze in as much backpacking, swimming, and laughing as possible. Her biggest dream in life is to have as many people as possible find the eternal treasure of a relationship with Jesus.
Children's Ministry Director
Felicia is a high-energy mother of four. She leads our Sprouts, Roots, and Club House programs which serve children from infancy through 5th grade. She loves kids and wants children at CCC to be excited about coming to church and excited about Jesus.
Deborah joined the CCC staff in June of 2021 and is bringing her skills to our church office! She not only supports Pastor Theo, but also is the go-to person for our ministry team leaders. If you connect with our office by phone or email, you will have the pleasure of interacting with Deborah.
John and Amy Eldredge
John and Amy have been married for 28 years and from the beginning of their relationship, worship music has been an integral part of their lives. Through the years, they've been blessed with various opportunities to work with different worship teams.
"We are very excited about becoming a part of CCC’s team… as well, we look forward to worshipping God with the wonderful community at CCC!"
Our roots are deep in the community of Corralitos. We first began meeting together in 1885 as the Corralitos Community Free Methodist Church. We are part of the Free Methodist Church, an international association of churches that share a common focus on small group ministry, heart transformation, and help for the poor. You can learn more about the Free Methodist Church here.
Our first building was constructed a few years later, and that beautiful small church building still stands at 154 Browns Valley Road. In the years between 1885 and 1960 we had from 40 to 80 people worshipping together. The church family was hard-working and giving, with a special passion for helping children in our community.
In the 1960s a new vision inspired the purchase of land to allow more room for people to meet and learn about Jesus. The people in the congregation spent their Saturdays for the next three years doing most of the construction work on our current church building at 26 Browns Valley Road. The church family grew in numbers and ministries with the additional space.
Today, we are in a new season. In June of 2018 we called a new Lead Pastor. We are building on a legacy of over 130 years, finding fresh ways to express the same values that have always made us Corralitos Community Church.
